First in a long line of firsts

This is the blog post required asking me to begin using the services that are offered here in order to get usage of the e-mail service that I use regularly with another account.

I understand that a ton of spammers have brought about the requirement to develop a reputation, but I can’t I think of another e-mail provider that is trustworthy… which I guess is the basis for this post.

I have had an e-mail account with my internet provider since 2004, and I guess I never thought that it might become a problem, but e-mail itself, in terms of communication, has developed over the years into a requirement rather than an option. Further to that, and likely more important to many, is the wealth of data that becomes available, by simiple default, to the provider, and the obfuscated way that data is monetized, shared, applied and otherwise levered in ways that benifit everyone but the owner – unless targeted ads are something you consider a benefit.

While it’s pretty obvious to anyone paying attention that e-mail is likely the most insecure method of communication out there, it is still quite necessary in daily life, and having that service tied to a provider who continues to take your patronage for granted is a designed trap that takes some time to unwind, and as stated, is the reason I’m writing this now.

So there you have it… blog away about whatever. Build reputation. Woohoo… I’m a big Vivaldi fan, of that there is little doubt. I’ve been using it for years, and have watched it develop from a curious option, as I moved away from Firefox, into what it has become today.

Sadly, Vivaldi Social has devolved into the typical leftist cesspit of naive idealism void of expierience and realism, and one can only hope that eventually these people either grow up, or one day come to understand that what they read just doesn’t jive with what they actually see in life. I’ve come to understand that only comes with time, and until that happens, their idealism is preyed upon by those with agendas and money to be made. So ya, I won’t be wasting time there.

The forum… well, if it comes to pass that I end up with a problem that needs solving, or in passing I see a problem that I can help solve, then I will post with this account… but that doens’t happen too often, as much of what it takes to make Vivalidi what it is is beyond me techically. My tech genius – lol – is limited to networking, Synology products, and the server side general neck of the woods, and I only say genius as there is no one here to currently oppose that statement.

Anyways…. that’s that.
